A Recent Family Photo Shoot

The other day I had a lot of fun working with a former colleague and her two daughters. It's always great to see friends again!

One of the challenges of child portraiture is getting their cooperation. Well, I'm here to tell you this wasn't a problem with these two future models. They came ready for anything, and were very cooperative. That sure makes my job a lot easier. So, lest I forget to do so later, I want to extend my thanks to this family for providing a fun photo shoot with great photos. Thank you!

Here are a few photos from this shoot.

I used only two lights for the entire shoot. I used a Norman 600 studio light with a 36"x48" soft box, and second Norman with a 12"x36" strip light. The larger soft box served as my main light and the strip box was on a boom and used as a hair light. With these three lovely blondes, I wanted to make sure I had good light on their hair! Plus a properly positioned hair light will also serve to help the model stand out from the background.

Per my last post, I now take select photos from my shoots to make a short video of the experience. My clients love this and it is not that hard to do.

Here is the video I prepared from this shoot. Enjoy!

As always, your comments, suggestions and questions are always welcome! 'Til next time... Take Care!
